Professional Training
Kristin completed her graduate training at Lesley College, receiving a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 1997. She is a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. Her post-graduate training includes completion of the Certificate Program in The Assessment and Treatment of Couples from the Boston University School of Social Work, a Certificate in MIndfulness and Psychotherapy from the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, and an Externship and Advanced Training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy through the New England Center for EFT .
Experience
Kristin brings over 25 years of experience and insights into her work as a therapist, with experience providing services in colleges and universities, artist communities, outpatient mental health clinics, and crisis stabilization settings. She has provided therapy and wellness education to a wide range of populations, including adults in mid-life, struggling couples, young adults, and other individuals learning to manage depression, anxiety, relationship challenges and issues of identity and meaning. Much of her work has focused on helping people gain a greater understanding of themselves and live more fulfilling lives.
In addition to her experience as a clinician providing psychotherapy, Kristin also has extensive experience as a clinical supervisor, having provided clinical supervision to both graduate students and master's level clinicians. She has also served as adjunct faculty for undergraduate students, teaching courses such as Abnormal Psychology, Learning and Behavior, and Developmental Psychology.
Kristin is currently a member of the American Counseling Association, American Mental Health Counselors Association, the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, and the South Shore Coalition of Independent Therapists.
