Websites, Apps and Other Useful Resources

The websites and resources below might be of interest to people exploring guided meditation, mindfulness, and mindful self-compassion practices.  This doesn't exclusively define the work I do in my therapy practice, so if meditation isn't your thing, it doesn't necessarily mean I wouldn't be a good fit for you as a therapist.  For some people, though, these exercises are useful ways to practice being more present, less reactive, and more compassionate toward themselves and others.

Christopher Germer's website on mindful self-compassion.  The meditations section offers guided meditations, some of which can also be found in his book The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion .
Kristin Neff's great website on self-compassion.  If you are interested in learinging more about self-compassion, reading the definition of self-compassion on the About section of her website would be a great place to start.  Meditations and self-compassion exercises available on this site.
